Rodney A. Sharp was born on February 9, 1947, in Ishpeming, Michigan, to Irma and Clarence (Bud) Sharp. Growing up in Palmer, he cherished the close-knit bond he shared with his parents and siblings. Rod attended Negaunee High School and graduated with fond memories of his time there.
Professional Life and Accomplishments
After completing his education, Rod proudly served in the US Marine Corps for two years, a testament to his dedication and patriotism. Following his military service, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a maintenance mechanic at Cleveland Cliffs Iron Co. for 34 years. Rod’s commitment and expertise were highly regarded by his colleagues and the company.
