Fresno State didn't return many innings from their 2012 team in 2013, but felt confident their pitchers would be fine because Wynns was behind the plate. He makes pitchers better because he can get them pitches from the umpire and gives them confidence to trust their stuff because he's a blocking machine. He is a leader on the field and keeps the running game in check with solid-average arm strength. He has decent athleticism in his solid, 6-foot-2, 205-pound build. At the plate, he has the strength to run into a few balls, but profiles as a below-average hitter.
